"The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future" - National Emergency Briefing

Join local residents for a special community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing film

This eye-opening film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts offering the latest evidence on a range of environmental challenges. Exploring what it means for everyday life in the UK, these experts delve into issues such as:

  • Extreme weather
  • Food security
  • Health
  • Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film, there will be a short open discussion about what can be done locally with a focus on Castle Point Community Energy. The following panel members will lead this discussion:

  • Grace Labeodan - Senior Climate Action Officer at Castle Point Borough Council
  • Chris Parkin - Greater South East Net Zero Hub
  • Adam Birchweaver - Energy Project Officer at Essex County Council
  • Paul Webb - B2B Energy (Energy Consultant)
