"The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future" - National Emergency Briefing
Join local residents for a special community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing film.
This eye-opening film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts offering the latest evidence on a range of environmental challenges. Exploring what it means for everyday life in the UK, these experts delve into issues such as:
- Extreme weather
- Food security
- Health
- Cost of living
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.
After the film, there will be an open discussion with environmental activist Jonathan N Fuller about what it means for the community of Southend-on-Sea, and what we can do locally.
