Get involved this Clean Air Day- June 18th
Coordinated by Global Action Plan , Clean Air Day is the UK's largest air pollution awareness campaign. Southend-on-Sea City Council became an official supporter of Clean Air Day in 2021 and has continued to take part each year by organising events and promoting local projects that help improve air quality across the city.
Held every June, Clean Air Day raises awareness of the causes and impacts of air pollution on our health and the environment. By sharing the latest information and practical steps people can take to reduce their exposure and emissions, the campaign encourages lasting behaviour changes, such as walking or cycling more often and making greater use of public transport. Clean Air Day aims to inspire community action and promote a shared responsibility for improving air quality for everyone.
Make your Clean Air Day pledge! Join us this Clean Air Day and pledge to help improve Southend's air quality.
