LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership) is a free energy advice service that helps households save money, stay warm, and reduce energy use.

It’s available to anyone on a low income, receiving benefits, or struggling with energy bills.

If you are struggling to pay your bills, or find that your home is too cold and it is affecting your health, LEAP may be able to help. The service offers personalised support, small energy-saving measures, and advice on larger home improvements to make your property warmer and more efficient.

To find out if you qualify for LEAP, please visit the LEAP website or call 0800 0607567 (Freephone).

More information is also available on Southend Council’s website.

LEAP Income Checker

LEAP also provide a self-help checklist to help residents maximise their income. This includes links to free advice and support- from benefits and housing assistance to debt advice and energy-saving grants.
